Noel is a graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine. He has worked in several different areas of large animal/food animal practice in Western Canada and abroad prior to working for the CFIA.  After completing a master’s degree in Veterinary Public Health Management from the University of Sydney, Noel worked at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory where he led the country’s emergency animal disease laboratory network. Noel is the CFIA’s Western Area Manager of the Plant and Animal Health Operational Specialist Unit where he continue to be involved in the operational delivery of animal and plant health files including disease response, emergency management and preparedness.
