Since completing his Engineering Physics degree in 1995 at the University of Saskatchewan, Ian has enjoyed a diverse and entrepreneurial career. Ian’s experience ranges from working globally in the telecommunications industry to that of an entrepreneur, founding a couple of start-ups in Calgary, to now focusing his efforts to drive renewable energy and energy efficient buildings in Saskatchewan. He also has public sector experience leading the Energy and Sustainability Engineering group at the City of Saskatoon from 2011-2014 and the Renewable Energy Programs at SaskPower for the two years before that. Ian is the owner Energy Six Consultants, a consultancy with a focus on energy efficient buildings and renewable and clean energy projects. Ian is the Owner of Vereco Smart Green Homes where he has significantly improved the service offerings and grown the business to over 12-15 homes per year. Vereco has helped nearly 100 Saskatchewan homeowners to build energy/water efficient, comfortable, and durable smart green homes, since 2009. He is happy to be a part of the incredible team working with Vereco Smart GreenHomes and is excited for what the future holds.
