Larry was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election and was re-elected in April 2016.  He has previously served Saskatchewan as a Member of the Treasury and Investment Board; Member of Economy Standing Committee and Vice Chair of Economy Caucus Policy Committee; Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Highways and Infrastructure; board member to the Crown Investment Corporation of Saskatchewan; Deputy Chair for the Standing Committee of Public Accounts, and Minister of Government Relations and First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs.


Along with his duties as MLA, Larry currently is serving as a Member of the Human Services Committee; Member of SaskBuilds Corporation Board and Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Government Relations and First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs.


Larry has been involved with PNWER for the past few years as the Saskatchewan lead delegate; serving as Agriculture working group co-chair and during the 27th PNWER Annual Summit he was elected to serve as Vice-President, and currently is serving as President.  


Prior to joining the legislature, Larry was the owner/operator of Fairview Dodge in North Battleford.  During that time, Larry was involved in the North Battleford Community by sitting as a board member for the Chamber of Commerce; 12 years on the Parks and Recreation board; 14 years on the North Battleford Golf and Country Club board, serving 2 years as president, and served a 4 year term as city councilor.


Larry is committed to volunteering in his community and served 16 years as councilor for the Resort Village of Metinota where he and his wife Valerie reside.  Larry and Valerie have 2 children, and 5 grandchildren.
