Matt Taylor has worked in the area of animal health and emergency management for some 30 years, with a focus on the evolving partnerships between industry and government.  In this regard Matt assisted the creation of Canadian Animal Health Coalition, the National Farm Animal Care Council, and the National Farmed Animal Health & Welfare Council.  Previous animal health emergency management initiatives have involved zoning, awareness, plans, industry exercises/ simulations, ‘lessons learned’ reports and more recently a national project that assisted many provincial livestock commodity associations in adopting a consistent animal health emergency management plan for their association staff and resource tools for their producers.
