Jeff Golden represents Southern Oregon in the Oregon State Senate.

After years as a homebuilder and river guide (founding the Oregon Guides Association), Jeff Golden built a career as a mediator, journalist, columnist, author, host of JPR’s Jefferson Exchange and producer/host of Immense Possibilities, broadcast on 25 PBS stations. His political novels include UNAFRAID: A Novel of the Possible and Forest Blood.

He’s served on a wide variety of statewide and community Boards and Commissions and as Jackson County Commissioner during the timber wars. It was then that he became Oregon’s first nominee for the JFK Profile in Courage award.

Jeff’s married to social services administrator Sarah Collard and enjoys time with his two grown children, Daniel and Sarah.
