Lisa Shingoose is a member of the Cote First Nation, which is located in Southeastern Saskatchewan.  She currently resides in Saskatoon and is an employee of 20 years with the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT), which is one of the four accrediting educational institutes in the province.  She has been in her current role of Vice President, Employment Development & Career Services for the past 3 years.  Lisa is responsible for province-wide delivery of the Indigenous Skills & Employment Training (ISET) Program, 9 industry-driven Career Centres strategically scattered throughout the province, pre-career development foundational programming (JobSeries), outreach employment service delivery via 2 mobile recreation vehicles (JobConnections) and SIIT’s policy and governance capacity.  Prior to employment with SIIT, Lisa worked with the Yorkton Tribal Council delivering on-the-ground ISET Program services in both on and off-reserve locations.  Lisa’s career is dedicated to growing community-based employment development opportunities for Saskatchewan’s Indigenous population.
